DEVINE'S EMPIRE HALL. Palmerston North.

If it was not for the private enterprise of Mr. William Devine, Palmerston North would be lacking in the matter of hall accommodation. There is no building so suitable for balls, dances, lectures, or any class of gathering as Devine's Empire Hall, which is handy to the centre of the town, and in every, way most suitable for travelling companies, special picture entertainments, etc. It is interesting to note the splendid supper-room and sit-ting-out arrangements when required for balls. It is electrically lit throughout, and it is questionable if there is a more up-to-date hall in any part of the Dominion.-
