MESSRS. CHILD BROS., Carrying and Forwarding Agents, etc., Palmerston North.

Tho firm of Child Bros, is now so well known throughout the Dominion that it is hardly necessary to make any referenco to it here, excepting to state, that, like a well-known brand of spirts, they are "still going strong." It has grown from small dimensions until today it is a very important factor in file forwarding and carrying business throughout New Zealand, while the carrying trade is specialised it is only one branch; wood and coal is retailed by them and delivered to any part of tho town and district, and only recently the firm installed a stone-crusher plant on the river beach adjacent to Palmerston North, and are now in a position to supply public bodies, contractors, and others with crushed metal in any quantity. . The wonderful growth and development of their business is, due in small measure to the.care and attention given to every detail' by the principals themselves, and to the- excellent manner of control and organisation of the large motor-lorry plant and. staff ou the part of Mr. Trevethick, the firm's chief officer.

The fleet of motors now number somewhere about a dozen, and in addition thereto some fine teams of horses are still employed, and taken right through, Child Bros, and their staff cannot be beat for carefulness aud reliability in all branches of ; their trade.
