I am afraid to live with him," said a young married woman, in giving evidence in the Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon against her husband, who was charged with assaulting her. Lately, they had lived together, but Reed had intimidated his wjie until she was, afraid to continue living m the same house. "I think I had better make an order separating you," observed Mr. E. Page, S.M. Turning to the accused, he said, "You must enter into a bond of £50 before you leave this Court to be of good behaviour for twelve months. During that time, you must not molest or speak to your wife. You must keep away entirely from her. That will do."
In memory of a collie which waa her constant companion on visits to the Highlands, a London -woman has given £400 f6r a dispensary fOr animals, to be established in Bethnal Green. It is to be called "Jimmy's Dispensary."
