The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co.. Ltd., report:—Beef.—The market is firm, and although Southern buyers have been operating, sufficient is coming forward to meet the demand, and prices have not improved since our last renort. It certainly looks as if we have-seen the top price this soring. Fat sheep: Plcntv of fat sheep aro offering, with pricesfirm at late quotations, 7>est prime store wethers making up to 29s and prime ewes 22s fid. Store sheep: A good incniiry still exists for hoggets, ewes and lambs, and wethers out of the wool. Store cattle: With the abundance of feed about, the market for all classes of store cattle is firm, grown bullocks, young steers, and good frame store cows are wanted, and there is a keen demand for good yearling Jersey heifers. Dairy cattle: Only small yardings are now coming forward, but good dairy cow's and choice springing heifers are still meeting with good competition. Pigs: The market is somewhat easier, big yardings coming forward, prices for baconers and porkers being equal to 6d lb. Stores are still meeting with ready sale. Horses: Good farm sorts are selling well, but heavy draughts and light horses are1 not In demand. We quote: Bullocks, prime, extra heavy,- £14 to £16; bullocks, medium, £11 10s to £12 10s; cows, prime £9 10s to £10 10s, medium £7 103 to £9, unfinished £6 5s to £6 l-'s.; heifers, prime, £9 10's to £10 10s; steers, T--year, forward, £7 10s to £8; steers, 3-year, stores, £5 15s to £6 us; steers, 2-year, good, £5 10s to £5 15s: steers, 18 months. £4 to £4 10s: good yearling steers. £3 to £4; good yearling heifers (Jersey), £4 10s to £5 10s; good fresh empty cows, £3 10s to £4 ss; aged store cows, 30s to £2; choaco in-calf dairy heifers, best Jersey cross, £.10 to £10 10s; 21,i-year Jersey cross springing heifers, £10 to~£ll: 2%-year Shorthorn dairy heifers, £8 10s to £9 10s: good dairy herds (tested), £10 10s to £13: others, £7 to -£8 10s; wethers, prime woolly heavy 33s to f 34s, prime woolly medium 27s to 295, prime shorn heavy 26s to 295, prime shorn medium 21s to 22s 6d; ewes, prime woolly heavy 24s to 26s fid, prime woolly light 21s to 225, prime shorn jlßs to 20s: store wethers, 4-tooth shorn 21s to 223 fid, 2-tooth 19s to 20s; ewes, 4, 6, and 8-tooth, with lambs, 27s 6d to 30s; ewes, 5 years; with lambs, 24s to 265; ewes, aged, with lambs, 17s'to 18s; hoggets, fat 243 to 275, good;store woolly 17s 6d to 18s fid, small woolly i lis fid to 13s, Pigs: Baconers, prime £3 16s to £4 ss, medium £3 10s to £3 15s; porkers, £2 15s to' £3; slips, 38s'to £2: weaners. 17v to 245; breeding sows, good, £7 10s to £8 10s.
