TAKING TO CIVILISATION.

SYDNEY, This Day.
A report by the Governor of Papua shows that the natives are steadily adopting habits of civilisation. Numbers have started banking accounts and others are engaged in planting in their own behalf. One has become a purveyor of firewood, using a. small motorlorry. Some coastal natives have taken on clearing contracts.
