WELLINGTON NORTH RATEPAYERS

The monthly meeting of the executive of the Wellington North Ratepayers' Association Was held last evening. Mr. E. G. Pilcher occupied tho chair, and there was a good attendance of the committee.

The decision of the council to put down a bitumen surface on Wellington terrace, Kelburn parade, Bowen and Majbrlbahks streets, and other main avenues of traffic which urgently require attention was approved. Reference was made to the proposed tram line through Hill street, but it was not considered necessary to take any further action.

Those present expressed pleasure at the condition of the plantation on the Tinakori Hills, and the path to the wireless station. It was pointed out, however, that the approaches from Grant road, St. Mary street, and Patanga crescent, particularly the two latter, were in a very bad condition. It was decided to request that th enecessary improvement should bo put on tho programme of works for next year.
