EASTBOURNE FERRY SERVICE

The management of the Eastbourne Ferry Service draws attention to a special time-table for Monday (Labour Day). An attractive time-table has been arranged for the convenience of holidaymakers, and providing good weather prevails the ferry steamers should be taxed to their utmost, as the trip across the harbour is a pleasant and enjoyable one, especially when one considers the comfort of the promenade deck of a ferry steamer, when compared with other means of transport. The bush and the beach at Muritai, Rona Bay, and Day's Bay, are in perfect condition for picnic parties, and parents can rely on their children playing about on the beach in perfect safety,-' which should add greatly to the enjoyment of the day's outiug. Residents of Wellington are asked to consider, when arranging their programme of picnics and excursions for the summer months, to obtain particulars from the ferry service in reference to the very cheap fares offering this summer to all schools, shops, warehouses, local and Government bodies, public, and private parties. Concessions are being offered this year for Eastbourne and Day's Bay, -where there are ample grounds for all kinds of sport, while tennis enthusiasts have their choice of either grass or asphalt courts. There are twenty-eight public courts at Rona and Day's Bays, and in addition to this, there are various club courts.
