TRIAL OF TROTSKY
UNCONFIRMED AS YET,
LONDON, 13th October
The news regarding Trotsky and otliors, cabled yesterday, emanated from Berlin. It has not been confirmed .that the actual trial lias oponed, though there is ground for the belief that some sort of interrogation, lias occurred. Tlie "Daily Telegraph's" Riga correspondent suggests that the Central Control Commission is constituting itself a party jury to meet in a few days and arraign the loaders of the opposition. KEASSIN'S VAIN MISSION. The "^Telegraph's " diplomatic correspondent says that 3£. Krassin's interview •with Sir Austen Chamberlain .with reference to credits proved fruitless, the 'Foreign Secretary intimating, as previously, that Soviet propaganda, aggravated by the support of the British miners' strike, was not calculated to facilitate the aims of Krassin's mission.
