FATALLY BURNT
CHILD'S CLOTHING CATCHES ALIGHT.

Mavis.Perriam (aged 12), whoso parents aro residing lit ■ Winton, received serious1 bums on Tuesday and is., now in hospital in a serious condition. She was standing before an open fire when her clothes caught.alight. Buna Ward, (aged 4), of Wyndhain, died on Tuesday as the result of burns l'oecived the same morning. She was dressing boforo an open fire and hor nightdress caught alight. Her sister attempted to put out the flames "by pouring on water, but the other received' serious injuries boforo the fire was extinguished. She was sent to Invercargill Hospital, but died as the result of shock and injuries.
