TRENTHAM NOTES
After the continued bad weather, tho tracks at Trentham are in a very heavy state. The outside of the course proper was open this morning from the mile post to nearly tho five furlong post. Horses were sprinted this short distance, and then trotted back outside tho trees, many of them being sprinted twice. Even this part of the course, which is the best in bad weather, cut up considerably. It was impossible to time any of the horses. Amongst those noted doing good work were Modern, Jubilance, Grand Knight, Indian Sago, Nadarino, Orchid, Buoyant, Black Cat, Fool's Paradise, Panthler, Note, Inoe, Sole Mio, Laughing Prince, Exhibition, Tanadees, and Gauntlet. Indian Sago looks none tho worse for his racing at Otaki, and is going on well. The Hawk and Goshawk were out doing easy pacing this morning. Trentham stables will be well represented at the Carterton Meeting on Saturday, and nearty all tho trainers have a horse or horses engaged.
