Wo:: by four lengths, two lengths between second and third. Time, 3miu 2S 3-osec. Maungatua Handicap, of 225 soys; seven furlongs.—l High Gear, 5.2, 1; 4 Eoyal Game, 5.6, 2; 2 Margaret Birney, 7.10, 3. Scratched: Corustalk, Sir Roy, Battle Colours, Prompter. Won by a head, two "lengths between second and third. Time, lmin 30sec. M'Lean Stakes, of 700 soys; five fur longs; special weights.—6 Some Rose, 1; 3 Ark Eoyal, 2; 2 Solgate, 3. Scratched: Tripaway. Won by half a length, a head between second and third. Time, lmin 5 l-ssec.
