ITALIANS DEPORTED
CANADIAN IMMIGRATION LAW VIOLATED.

Tho hundred and twenty-three Italians who landed on tho coast of Nova Scotia some weeks ago in contravention of tho immigration laws wero quietly deported to-day on the steamer Columbia, which sailed for Italy at dawn. Restless after their long confinement, four smuggled Italians escaped from tho detention shed on Saturday, and have not yet been recaptured. Two arc reported to havo landed, but woro never taken into custody.
