The staff of the Duke and Duchess of York on their tour of the Dominions will be:— , Chief of Staff: The Earl of Cavan. Ladies-in-Waiting: The Countess of Cavan and Lady Doris Vyner. Political Secretary: Mr. H. F. Batterbee, C.M.G., D.5.0., Assistant-Secre-tary to the Colonial Office. Private Secretary: Mr. P. K. Hodgson. Equerries: Commander Clare Vyner and Commander Colin Buist. Medical Adviser: Surgeon-Comman-der H. E. White.
General the Earl of Cavan was, Chief of the Imperial General Staff ' from 1922 to 1926. He is 61 years of age, and during the war was in charge of the operations of the Tenth Italian Army on the Piave front in 1918. The Countess of Cavan, second wife of the Earl, was formerly Lady John Mulholland. Mr. H. F. Batterbee was on the H.M.S. Hood two years ago as Political Secretary to the Special Service Squadron.
