THE GOLDFIELDS MURDER
APPEAL AGAINST DEATH SENTENCE.
(United Press Association.—Copyright.) PERTH, 16th September. Counsel for Treffene and Coulter is lodging an appeal against the death sentence imposed on them on their conviction for the murder of Detectives Walsh and Pitman. He states that, if tho appeal is unsuccessful, ho will prepare a public petition for commutation of tho sentence.
