BRITISH FILMS

(By Telesraph.)

(Special to "The Evening Post.")

AUCKLAND, This Day.

Among the documents Mr. Coates will take to London is a letter from Mr. F. H. Hellaby (president of the Chamber of Commerce), with reference to the film industry. The writer states that as the film industry is amongst the subjects coming before the Imperial Conference, the Prime Minister should be furnished with the views of the chamber.

Briefly, these are to the effect that it is not in the interests of the Empire that the great influence exerted by the moving pictures should originate from foreign sources.
