WELLINGTON HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY
The Spring Show to be held in the Concert Chamber, Town Hall, the largo hall not being available, on Thursday next, 16th September, promises to be one of the best yet held. The leading growers in the Hutt Valley will be showing, and Mr. Eobert Gibson, from Manaia, will again display many of his latest and best novelties. Entries are coming in freely from far and near. The suburban societies will be keen to make a big display, as the R. A. Wright Trophy will be competed for, for the first time. Afternoon tea will be supplied by the Ladies' Committee, and special music has been engaged on this occasion. Their Excellencies Sir Charles and Lady Alice Fergusson will open the Show at.3 p.m. Doors will be open from 2.30 p.m. till 9.15 p.m., and a largo, attendance is anticipated.
