DR. ADAMI, OF LIVERPOOL

UNIVERSITY.

(United Press Association.—Copyright), (Australian-New Zealand Cable Assn.) LONDON, 29th August. Dr. J. G. Adami, vice-chancellor of the University of Liverpool, is dead.

Dr. John George Adami, C.8.E., wag born in Manchester in 1862. Ho wai educated at Owens College, Manchester, at Christ's College, Cambridge, and at Breslau and Paris, and had a large number of degrees conferred upon him. For 27 years he was .professor of pathology and bacteriology at the M'frill University, Montreal. Ho was a member of the consultative committee of the Minister of (Education, and had been vice-chancellor of the University of Liverpool since 1919. He published a number of medical works.
