Douglas."—Taranaki defeated Ilawkes Bay at llawera on tile 7th July by 5 points (n converted try by Bourke) to 3 (an uueonverted try by M'Doualrt). Absentees from the Bay team included: Nepia, Paewai, Blake. Cooke, Corkill, Mill, Irvine, Walker. Kirkpatrick, M. and C. Brownlie, and Swain.
