■. BERLIN, 26th August. , The Anglo-Russian Committee to pro* mote trade union unity and facilitate the entry of Russia to the Amsterdam International, concluded four days' secret meetings. The fact that the meet* ings were protracted till midnight daily indicated that the differences on th#. question of uniting the trade union movement of Europe were by no nemi overcome; The result of the discussions is embodied in a protocol for submission to the respective -executive*! and will not be published.
