Of the estimated 20,000 theatres in the United States, 07 per cent, of them arc to-day devoted exclusively to the showing of motion pictures. Some o£ the remaining 3 per cent, have a combination vaudeville and movie policy. Only 500 theatres in the entire country now exist .without the aid of the moving pictures. The average pressure of the atmosphere is 151b to the square inch.
