KING'S THEATRE.
Something out of the ordinary in the way of pictures is being shown at the King's Theatre this week. It is entitled "My Old Dutch," and tells of the life of a costermonger, displaying a rare humour of these strange old English coster folk in a quaint style. The story circles around the great love and faith of a couple of their son. Culleri Landis, who is always popular, plays the part of the boy, while May M'Avoy and Pat O'Malley have the role of the devoted parents. There is not one dull moment in this great 1926 Universal production, which brings a laugh and a tear in turn. Jane Winton, the beautiful Follies beauty, is also in the picture, as is Agnes Steel, a British musichall star. Besides being full of romance, "My Old Dutch" also has many exciting moments. There is a great fight with bare fists, a spectacular race, and a festival of the old-time style, in which several hundred people are seen. There is a good supporting programme, and the orchestra, under the direction of Mr. A. H. Jerome, supplies appropriate mUßic.
