STILL UNSETTLED,

■ The storm area centred for the last three days in the North has moved, away' in a south-easterly, direction, and the barometer is now very low at the Chatham Islands. Rough seas are at present in evidence on the East Coast, and showery conditions are likely to prevail. The barometer has a rising tendency in the 'North, but'is likely to fall soon in the South. Moderate to strong southerly winds may be expected and fair to cloudy weather is forecasted, with occasional showers, aa4 a very cold night.
