BACKHAUS'S RETURN CONCERT.

Wilhelm Backhaus, whose farewell concert will be given on 7th September, is undoubtedly one of the most important artists ever brought to New Zealand. On the platform his personality is so genial that one hardly wonders that his audiences return to hear him concert after concert. It is a tribute not only to his art, but ixlso to his charming platform manner. The box plans were opened at The Bristol this morning.
