PROPERTY SALE REPORT.
Mr. 11. Ernest Lelghton reports that on Wednesday last, at the sale by auction, under instructions from the Public Trustee, of city and suburban properties, bidding waa brisk. The two lower Hutt Main road shops gold under the hammer at £1650 and £1650 respectively. No. 8, Brooklyn road, was passed in at £1475, but sold after the sale at £1525. The Upper Willis street block, No. 268 and No. 270, was keenly competed for. The bidding reached £3350, but was passed in. No. 15, Sugar Loaf road started at £1000, and was passed in at £1350. A block fronting Adelaide road, Douglas street, and Myrtle crescent, with buildings thereon, started at £3000, and was passed in at £3500. The Petone properties not reaching the reserve were also gassed in.- as also was the Lyall Bay section. The unsold properties are now in the auctioneer's hands for private sale.
