Tho Egmont-Wanganui Hunt Club's Steeplechase Meeting opened in dull weather. The track is in. good order. Results:—
Hunters' Hurdles.—l Ban juke, 11.2, 1; 7 Tamakana, 9.7, 2; 5 Batapiko, 10.13, 3. Scratched: Daylark, Reranui, Suweiloh. Won by two lengths, tho same distance between second and third. Time, 3min 2see.
Hunt Hack Hurdles, of 100 soya; one mile and a half.— i Tewehi, 9.7, 1; 5 Roman, 9.0, 2; 1 Taitaiata, 10.0,3. All started. Won by half a length. Time, 2min 59aec.
Maiden Handicap, of 70 soys; six furlongs.—3 Pop Off, 9.5, 1; 2 Airtight, 0.0, 2; 1 Atone, 9.0, 3. Scratched: Erin-go-Bragh, Midnight Camp, Blend: Won by a length. Time, lmin 20sec.
