EMPRESS THEATRE.

Fred Thomson and his handsome equine partner, Silver King, reappear in "Riding the Wind" this week at the Empress Theatre. Tho comedy has its dramatic angle, but many of the scenes are frankly burlesque; the scene in the village belle's boudoir, whither the hero has gone to return some stolen pearls, is deliciously naive and amusing. In William de Mill's "The Runaway," Clara Bow, the screen's most fascinating flapper, is cast as a stage favourite who flees to the mountains after a crime for which she has been blamed. There is a Paths Gazette, a comedy, and tuneful music is played by the Empress Orchestra under Mrl M. Dixon.
