KING COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TAUMARUNUI, 13th August. Play in the King Country Champion* ships began here to-day, and will be continued to-morrow. The ladies played to-day, four teams competing—Taumavunui, Te Kniti, Tc Awamutu, and Otorohanga. The match. was played over 27 holes. 'Mvs. -A. W. Richter (Taiiniarunui) won the championship with a gloss score'o£ 121. Miss Woolj ley (To Awamutu) was runner-up with 147.
