REBATES AND DISCOUNTS

AECHITECT'S PRACTICE.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, 13th August. At the hospital inquiry Mr. Leary, representing the New Zealand Institute of Architects,, said that the impression had been created in some quarters that it was the general custom for architects to accept trade discounts. No member of the N.Z.I.A. or Boyal Institute of British Architects was allowed to accept discounts. The custom had grown up in New Zealand of some architects accepting rebate on newspaper advertisements. It had never been officially condemned or approved.
