VACUUM OIL STAFF DANCE
A very successful function was that of tho annual staff dance of the Vacuum Oil Co., Pty., Ltd., held last evening in the now Masonic Hall, "Wellington terrace; this was the first dance held in tho new building. The hall was artistically decorated with lycopodium, streamers entwined with coloured flowers, coloured paper streamers, and a splendid show of bunting and balloons. A cosy lounge, with comfortable chairs and fernery, was arrangod on the stage. A dainty supper was served. Much credit is due to the secretary, Mr. C. S. Igglesden, and an outstanding feature was the delightful music. The chaperons were Mesdames Cate (rose georgette) and Blair (embossed velvet), and the committee c6nsisted of Misses Joplin {cyclamen georgette), Douglas (amber beaded georgette), Munro (turquoise blue and silver), Fletcher (blue georgette and gold lace), and Williams (gold and flame lace), Messrs. Prowse, Burley, Aitphison," Jansen, Rawnsley, and M'Minn. Also present were Mr. and Mrs. Cate, Mr. and 'Mrs. J. Halligan, Mrs. Ford (Sydney), Madame Eugenic Dennis, Mr. E. Dennis, and many others.
