TEe fact that women are not taking full advantage of the many opportunities open to them was the keynote of speeches at a. session of the Congress of University "Women. Professor Caroline Spurgeon outlined the openings for women in the highest branches of industry, commerce, and finance, but said university women were often hampered by an academic mind. "Women could make their special contribution to the higher branches of the world's work, but must show a university trained mind. Intensely practical progress in establishing international travelling fellowships was reported, including -two Australian fellowships, which would beawarded next week. The fellowships were the direct result of the effort of the International Federation of University "Women.
