MURIEL STARR.
Miss Muriel Starr and her talented company arrived from Sydney to-day by the Maheno, bringing with them the same complete productions that characterised their performances in all the leading theatres of Australia. The Wellington season commences at the Grand Opera House tomorrow night with Gladys Unger'* satirical and witty comedy "The Goldfish." Miss Starr as Jenny Wetherly is seen at her very best, infusing into the comedy and dramatic situations just the necessary vein of sentiment and humour as the character develops. Included in the company supporting Miss Starr are some artists well known in New Zealand, notably Mr. Harry Adams, the young English actor, who plays opposite to Miss Starr, and Messrs. Kenneth Brampton, Raymond Lawrence, Charles Lawrence, Frank Natherley, Augustus Neville, Kyrle Selywaney, Ered. Cooper, and Felix Bland, all of whom have appeared here previously with many J. C. Williamson attractions. The lady members include Misses Bertha Ballinger, Clarice Kingley, and Bebe Scott. During the season rapid changes of the latest successful comedies and dramas will be presented, including "The House of Glass" and "French Leave." The box plan is at The Bristol.
