ANNUAL MEETING OP LEAGUE. The sixth annual meeting of the Eat,', em Suburbs Citizens' League was held ii the Lyall Bay school last night. Mr. A. C. Blake presided, and other delegate.present were:—Messrs. A. G. Jorgensei. and H. W. Pilcher (Kilbirnie), D. M'Larer (Roseneath), T. F. Eves (Melrose), I<\ Wallis and J. Laurenson (Houghton Vailey), W. L. Palmer (Seatoun), J. C. Riddell (Lyall Bay), W. L. Palmer and T. >r. Donovan (Hataitai). The report, which was adopted, stated that the league, by its co-operation with the Civic League, had during the six years of its existence exerted considerable influence in promoting the welfare not only of its own district, but of the city 'as a whole. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. A. C. Blake (reelected) ; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. L. Palmer and T. M. Donovan; general committee, Messrs. F. W. Moore and E. O. Thornton (Watt's Peninsula), F. Wallis (Houghton Valley), E. A. Batt .(Hataitai); secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. W. Pilcher (re-elected); delegates to Civic League, Messrs. A. C. Blake "and A. G. Jorgensen; auditor, Mr. J. L. Arcu*.
