BY CONSENT
♦ ■ CLAIM AGAINST CITY CORPORATION. Last November an accident happened at the City Corporation's bitumen plant at Rongotai, in which Duncan Gordon Stewart was fatally injured. The widow took proceedings against the City Corporation, claiming £2500 damages on behalf of herself and her fiv<j children. Tho case was listed for trial at the Supremo Court to-day. When it was called before the Chief Justice, Mr. P. J. o'Regan, who appeared for , the plaintiff, said it had. been settled, the defendant Corporation agreeing to pay £.1500, exclusive of costs. Judgment was entered for the plaintiff, fey consent, without costs. Mr. J. O'Shea appeared for the Corporation.
