NORTH V. SOUTH
TO-MORROW'S BIG ATTRACTION.
Rugby followers will have one of the most important events of the year to entertain them at Athletic Park tomorrow afternoon—the annual match between the North and South Islands. Teams to take part in the match assembled in Wellington this morning, and training operations were carried out later in the day. As both teams are made up of the cream of New Zealand's Bugby players, the game should be well worth seeing, and a record crowd at the Park is anticipated. Special train arrangements have been made in order to allow country enthusiasts to see the match, and those from adjoining districts will be able to return home immediately after the conclusion of the game. Only one change has been made in the teams originally selected. Nepia, the star Hawkes Bay and New Zealand representative, wiil be unable to fulfill his engagement, and his place as full-back in the North Island team will be taken by J. Malcolm (of Wellington), who was one of those originally nominated by the Wellington Bugby Union. The match will commence at 2.45. As a considerable congestion at the gates is anticipated, ! intending partons are advised to secure their tickets in town. Tickets are on sale at numerous shops in the city. Early arrivals at the Park will be well catered for by the curtain-raiser, which wjll be provided by teams representing the enior A and B grades in Wellington. Many of the B players will be making their first appearance in a first-grade representative match, and they may be relied upon to give of their best. Mr. J. B. Benson has been selected as the referee for the curtainraiser.
