(Australian-New Zealand Cable Assn.) (Received 10th June, 2 p.m.)

CAPETOWN, 9th June.

To-morrow will see a big , diamond rush when the new field at Elandsputte, in the Transvaal, is thrown open. Three weeks ago there were only a few shacks. Since then the discovery of a number of valuable diamonds has attracted all classes, and ten thousand people are camped in the vicinity. The trains are crowded and the roads crammed with all sorts of vehicles bringing a.. further influx. Already 3000 licenses have been issued. It is expected that this number will be largely increased when the race for claims starts.
