In the French hard courts championship, Miss Mary Browne (U.S.A.) beat Mrs. Godfree (England), 7-5, 6-0. In tho combined doubles, Canivet and Mme. Canivet beat Nigel Sharpe and Miss Joan Fry, 6-3, 3-6, 6-0. (Received 10th June, noon.) PARIS, 9th June. In the French hard courts championship single Rene Lacoste (France) beat N. Mishu (Rumania), 14-12, 6-1, 6-1. In the semi-finals of the ladies' singles, Mile. Lenglen (France) beat Miss Joan Fry (England), 6-2 6-1; and Miss Mary Browne (U.S.A.) beat Mile. Bonman (Holland), 8-6, 6-2. ,
