DANCING
The opening invitation dance of the "V" Tennis Club, held in the banquet hall of the Y.W.C.A., proved to be tf most enjoyablo and pleasant function. The large hall was comfortably filled by cheerful and appreciative dancers. Supper was served in the cafeteria. The music was supplied by a good jazz band, which added to the success of the evening. Great credit is due to the committee, comprising Misses N. and Or. Hamerton and Miss Stub]^ and Messrs. dimming, Kermode, ana Petrie, for making it such a pleasant and successful function throughout. The coloured lighting effects were the outstanding feature of the evening, and much appreciation was given to Mr. Kermode for his efforts to1 secure and operate the pretty effects.- The generosity of the National Electrical and Engineering Co. for their gift of lamps, etc., and the colouring of the lamps by Messrs. Smith and Waite, electrical engineers, was greatly appreciated. The thanks of the committee are also due to Mrs. Hamerton, Miss Dawson, and Miss Minter for their kind assistance.
