OLD NAPIER RESIDENCE.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NAPIER, 31st May. An eleven-roomed house, one of the oldest in. Napier, owned and occupied by Mr. R. Smale, a retired ■ contractor, was totally destroyed by fire to-night. The old building made a spectacular blaze. It was insured for £1000 in the Northern Assurance Office. The furniture, none of which was saved, was uninsured.
