BIZET'S "CARMEN"

MR. ARTHUR JORDAN TO SING.

The Royal Wellington Choral Union intend making a special feature of the performance of Bizet's colourful opera, "Carmen," on Ist July. Mr. Arthur Jordan, the English tenor, has been engaged to sing the role of Don Jose, which gives him- fine scope to display his splendid range and dramatic powers. "Carmen" will be sung by Miss Mina Caldow, Miss Teresa M'Enroe will be the Miehaela, and Mr. Len Barnes the Escamilla (the toreador). Minor roles will be sung by Messrs. Ernest Short (Nelson), Edwin Dennis, and Mrs. Frank Tuniey.
