A WET ADVENTURE
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) • • AUCKLAND, 21st May. Captain M'Lean, a ferry boat master, fell from the Stanley Bay Wharf during a heavy rainstorm, and was carried away on. the ebb tide. Handicapped by his clothing, and heavy overcoat he clung to part of the wharf planking, which fell with him. Lifebuoys were thrown, and a boat was launched, and a young man jumped in and swam to him. He was eventually towed ashore holding on to tho dinghy.
