Lynch, parish priest of Helensville, aged 70 years. His death will be mourned in other parts of New Zealand as well, for he was priest of several other country parishes. He was born at Rathmore, County Cork, Ireland, and in early life migrated to America. Here he studied for the priesthood in the arch-diocese of Chicago, and served as a priest there for several years. However, his health failed, and ho returned to his native land. Later he came to-New Zealand, arriving in Auckland in 1903. He took up the work of parish priest at Kihikihi, and in succession served at Coromandel, Puhoi, Te Awamutu, and finally at Helensville. In all these parishes Father Lynch left the stamp of his generous character, states the "New Zealand Herald." He was an able scholar, and a few years ago wrote a book dealing with religion. ____
