Briand (the Premier) and the governor and directors of the Bank of France. They agreed to certain measures to restore the franc as soon as possible, but the measures to be effective must be kept secret. .- ; . | His conversations with Mr. Churchill | were only adjourned.' They were- seek- | ing a compromise. He would return to London as early as possible.
