STRAND THEATRE.
."The Narrow Street" is to be presented at the Strand Theatre to-day for its initial screening, which will be continued to-mor-row and again .next .week. Dorothy Devore heads an" impressive cast. .Matt Moore plays the male lead, and the supporting players are Gertrude Short, Tempe Pigott, Kate Toncray, Madame Sultewan, David Butler, Russell. Simpson, George Pearce. "Sporting Life," the Universal-Jewel-Maurice Tourneur production, is the other attraction, and is one of the most popular attractions seen in the city this season. With Bert Lytell, Marian Nixon, and many other popular players in the cast, it'draws a graphic and spectacular picture of smart life in England. It is the picturisation of a famous Drury Lane, melodrama. A good supporting programme and catchy music by Mr. H. Avery, the •wizard of v the piano, complete the bill.
