FIRE IN DANIELL STREET

The Fire Brigade received a call at 8.50 last night to 145, Daniell street, a five-roomed one-story wood and iron dwelling, owned by Bognuda and Mitchinso]]. The house was unoccupied at the time owing to reconstruction operations. Two rooms wero severely damaged, and the other rooms suffered considerably from heat, smoke, and water. The insurances are not available. The services of the brigade wore also required at 10.56 last night, when a motor-bus, owned by the Wellington Suburban Motor Bus Company, caught fire in Wakefield street. The frout of the vehicle was badly damaged by fire and water before the outbreak was suppressed. The insurance is not yet available.
