IN A DEEP LAGOON
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PAHIATUA, 2nd May.
To be thrown into a deep lagoon was tho startling experience of Arthur Giffney, a traveller for an Auckland firm, and Bert "Wainscott, a Dannevirke business man, on the main road near Konini, while proceeding to Ekctahuna. Tho two-seater car in which they were driving skidded at a bend, overturned, and fell in the water. Both had miraculous escapes from injuries, but Giffiney felt tho effects worse than his companion. Wainscott later proceeded home.
