NEW YOEK, 3rd April.

All official records for passenger liners were broken by the Cunarder Mauretania, which maintained a speed of 29 knots an hour when responding against heavy seas to the S.O.S. call of the British freighter Laleham, it was learned on tho arrival of the Mauretania at New York on Friday. Three other vessels joined in the race, and the Shirvan was first on the scene by several hours, and rescued the crew. Tho previous record by the Mauretania was 27.4 knots in fair weather.
