SMITHFIELD PRICES.
The New Zealand Meat Producers Board has received the following cable from its London office, dated Ist April,, advising Smithfleld delivered prices at that date as follow:—
New Zealand wethers and maidens: Canterbury quality, selected brands (new season's), 58 and under o%d, 57 to 64 6'id, 05 to 72 6d; other brands, 56 and under 6%d, 57 to 64 6d, 65 to 72 5%d. New Zealand ewes: 64 and under, 4%d. New Zealand lamb: Cantorbury quality (new season's), 36 and under 10»/ 4 d, 37 to 42 10y t d, 43 to 50 9%d; seconds, 9%d; selected brands (new season's), 36 and under 10% d, 37 to 42 10d; other brands, first quality (new season's), 42 and under, Q\i\ seconds, 9Jd. New Zealand beef: Ox fore, 3%d, hinds 4%d; cow fores nil, hinds nil.
Argentine chilled beef: Ox fores 3d, hinds Cd.
Lamb: Consumption continues good. Mutton market Blow, except as regards lightweight wethers.
