BAKERS IN CONFERENCE

- (By Telegraph.—Prrii Association.) DUNEDIN, 9th March,

, The twenty-sixth annual conference'/ of \%o New Zealand Master Bakers.and. Pastrycooks' Association opened tonight. There was a large attendance of delegates from >all parts of the Dominion. The business was purely formal, and tin conference adjourned to attend a reception by the Exhibition directors. To-morrow morning a comn;onci nent will bo made oh the business, and the annual* report and balancesheet will b-> discussed in* the afternoon. The visitors will be taken for a harbour trip by the Dunedin Association. Tub conference will sit all' day on Thursday, and on Friday the delegates will be the guests of Distributors Ltd. on a visit to Waijori.

Tonics (Wellington), Mr. Bo.pn (Christclmrch,) to act during:: Mr. Gold's absonco in England; executive committee, Messrs. Burton, Cowan, Montgomery, Connor, M'Gregor, Buchanan,'and Kent.
