RIFLE SHOOTING
'■ ♦ — ! ,TJie Kwori Defence Rifle Club will fire a match on Saturday at 800 and 900 yard*, the latter range counting for the club's championship. The annual competition for the Union senior and junior shields will be held at Trenthara on the 20th inst., the conditions being seven shots at 300, 500, and 600 yards, teams comprising eight men. The ,Old Navals Rifle Club will fire the fourth match for the third series at Trentham on Saturday, ranges 800 and 900 yards. This match will probably be the last for the championship. To-morow afternoon, at Broadway, Miramar, the Suburbs Defence Rifle»Club will practice over the short ranges (including 300 yards), to enable members to test their rifle* for the Union Shield teams match, and the forthcoming New Zealand Rifle Championship meeting.
