WELLINGTON PRESBYTERY
KILBIRNIE AND BROOKLYN
CHURCHES.
At a meeting of the Wellington Presbytery last evening, it was agreed that the call of the Rev. L. Thompson to Island Bay be referred to the Supply 'and Appointments Committee, and that, if the committee favoured ■ the call, further proceedings be facilitated.
A call for Kilbirnie and Lyall Bay to the Rev. E. J. Orange, of Elthara, was sustained, and it *as decided tv send on the call to the Taranaki Presbytery.
The resignation of the Rev. L. M'Master as minister, of the church at Brooklyn was accepted. It was stated f that it was Mr. M'Master's intention to study for the B.D. degree at Princeton University, United States.
The Rev. James M'Caw stated that the Lower Hutt session had decided that the parish be divided at- Woburn road, and that another parish bo constituted from that road to the boundary. It wa,s resolved, on the motion of the Rev. J. Comrie, "That the Lower Hutt congregation be congratulated on the step they had taken,, and a committee be appointed to confer with th« parties interested and report to the Presbytery."
